In 1955 this Vidyapith was established.
There is an old saying – “you don’t need to be great to start, but you have to start to be great”. This cannot be formed better than any incident other than the story lying beneath the formation of a prestigious school, the Satyabharati Vidyapith.
In the 6th January ,1955 this school was established in 1846 an organization called the Satyabharati organization was established with the motto of – “Swaraj, Seba, Sangathan “. Moreover, this organization only was the sole established of the Satyabharati Vidyapith. From the day of establishment of the school started commencement of holding classes for classes V and VI at Lalit Mohan Sen Sharulas abode in Gupta Colony. The first work of the school building was constructed on 24th April 1955. The second one just followed up on 24th February 1957. On the wall of the work the incarnation “Babu Mondal Chamber ” reminder us of Farir Ahmed, a resident of Baluria, who had donated the land for the school construction. Babu Mondal was his father. Althrough Faris Ahmed Sir had not donated his land to the current position of the school fret to present chakraborty land. Apart from this the incarnation “Satish Smriti Granthgram ” on the well of the aged office room reminds us of Narendranath Sengupta a resident of south 24 paraganas , who had donated a sum of one thousand and five hundred.
Rupees meet the expense of the looks for the school library. His father’s name was Satish Sengupta. Soon the school became popular and the number of students increase. This increasing number led to the construction of the third and the fourth block. On 24th April 1964 this school had the opportunity of famous scientist sir Satyendranath Bose who had come in the event of opening fourth block for students. Not only that, famous astrophysicist, Sri Radhagounda Chanda had also donated thousands of rupees for a strong telescope and many rare and unique books for the school library. But sadly, due to napshal invarwin, these unique and costly books were destroyed.
The Satyabharati Vidyapith had got its recognition as a junior school on the day of its establishment only. It had got the recognition 1959. The first batch of students gave the school final exam in 1960. The school started tasting success. Soon, the pass rate of students started varying between 95% and 100%. At present date, besides studies students at this school have excelled in many other fields like sports, fine in arts, quiz, drama etc. and have made the school proud.
It is also a fact of pride that a former teacher of this school, Sri Sudhindranath Biswas in 1955 was awarded by the president of our country as the “National Teacher ” . In the coming days, with the help of our teachers and other staffs, this school still surely prosper in a larger way.
